On behalf of my staff and I, we would like to thank all participants for making our first annual SBD Competition a successful event. The top three lifters are as follows:
1.Joey De La Cruz (Uvalde)
2.Gilbert Valadez (Del Rio)
3.Gavin Vara (Uvalde)

Three superior lifts in the pound-for-pound competition were as follows:
•Gilbert Valadez hit 570Ibs on squat
•Joey De La Cruz hit 400Ibs on bench
•Gilbert Valadez again with an outstanding deadlift of 700Ibs.

Congratulations to all of the lifters. Personal records (PRs) were hit. We had a blast hosting the competition! We hope to see everyone next year. Next year, we hope to break even more PRs. We didn’t just have a competition, we had a competition within ourselves. “Keep strong, fellas!”

I would like to thank my staff, as-well, for a hell of a job on our very first meet! We’re all excited for what’s next to come and to host future meets. Hope to see you next year.
